The need
A cosmetics warehouse carries two worlds: raw materials and packaging going into production, and finished goods going out. When neither is counted correctly, both the production plan and shipping turn into guesswork. Carex wanted to leave behind a setup where every movement was written on paper and keyed in later.
The solution
Receiving, issues to production, finished-goods receipts and sales shipments are all done on handhelds with Nitrogen PDA. Staff scan the item and the transaction is created in Mikro at the same time. Counts are also run on handhelds without closing the warehouse.
