Production management consulting and rollout

From planning to operator entry and from subcontracting to actual cost, we analyse your production processes, roll them out on the floor with Nitrogen UTS and run them on the same data as Mikro ERP.

What we usually find

Where most companies start

  • 01

Order status is unknown until you walk the floor

You cannot see from the office which work order is at which operation or machine, or what is late.

  • 02

Production is on paper and keyed into the ERP at night

Consumption, scrap and output are keyed in at the end of the day, so stock and cost are always behind.

  • 03

Downtime reasons and durations are unclear

Why and how long a machine stopped is not recorded, so efficiency discussions rely on gut feeling.

  • 04

The actual product cost is unknown

Planned recipe cost cannot be compared with actual consumption, so profitability waits for month end.

Service scope

What we set up with you

We design each area around the way you work and align it with your Mikro ERP records and warehouses.

  • Production planning

We set up product-to-shop plans and line, machine and subcontractor loading by capacity.

  • Work orders and routing

Work orders taken from Mikro or opened in UTS, operation routings, revisions and delay handling.

  • Shop-floor data collection

Start, stop, output, scrap and downtime entry on kiosks, tablets and handhelds, with scale and counting-scale links.

  • Materials and MRP

Just-in-time material planning, batch and location tracking, and barcode-based issue from the warehouse.

  • Subcontracting

Barcode tracking of goods sent to and returned from subcontractors, with their loading and progress.

  • Costing and reporting

Stage-by-stage comparison of planned and actual cost, with efficiency reports by machine and operation.

  • Station queues and bottlenecks

We tie orders to set and station routes; each station only sees work whose previous step is done, and waiting work and bottlenecks are tracked live on the plant dashboard.

  • Set up for your production type

Formula, batch and lot tracking for chemicals and process plants; line and shift flow for line production; work and cost by project, order and phase for project-based production.

How we work

Six steps from discovery to go-live

  1. 01

    On-site discovery

We review your production flow, stations and current recording methods on site.

  2. 02

    Process design

We design routings, stations, downtime reasons and cost structure together with your Mikro records.

  3. 03

    Setup and integration

We install Nitrogen UTS, connect it to Mikro Jump or Fly and configure devices and scales.

  4. 04

    Pilot line

We trial on one line or shop with live data and tune screens and rules from floor feedback.

  5. 05

    Training

We train operators, planners and managers separately by role.

  6. 06

    Rollout and support

We roll out to all lines and read the efficiency and cost reports with you in the first months.

Applications used

On the same data as Mikro ERP

The service is delivered on Nitrogen applications, which work with each other and with Mikro Jump / Fly.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The service covers process analysis, design, setup, training and go-live support. Nitrogen UTS is the software used; Nitrogen PDA and QMS can join the same flow as needed.

It suits companies that produce against work orders or sales orders: process manufacturers working with formulas and batches such as chemicals, paints and cosmetics; line producers such as electronics, appliances and automotive suppliers; project-based producers such as machinery, steel construction and custom fabrication; as well as textiles, food, furniture and general manufacturing.

In chemicals and process plants the recipe is defined as a formula, production is tracked by batch and lot number and materials are consumed by weighing. In line production work is planned by line and shift, with station queues and bottlenecks tracked. In project-based production work orders are tied to projects and phases, and material, labour and subcontracting cost is collected per project. We decide together during discovery which setup fits you.

Nitrogen UTS integrates with Mikro Jump and Mikro Fly. Consumption, scrap and output are posted to Mikro the moment they are entered on the floor.

It depends on the number of lines, routing complexity and device setup. After discovery we share a clear plan for the pilot line and rollout.

During discovery we define network, kiosk, tablet and handheld needs together and assess whether your existing devices can be used.
