Routing-Based Production Tracking System

Split each order into sets and lines and send every set through its station route: from cutting to assembly, packing and shipping, see live and per plant which job is waiting where, where the bottleneck is and which orders are past due.

Why it matters

Problems it solves

Who it's for: Make-to-order manufacturers whose products pass through several stations: curtains and home textiles, furniture, doors and windows, metal, packaging; line producers such as electronics, appliances and automotive suppliers; companies with several plants or lines

  • 01

No one knows where the order is

When a customer asks, finding out which set of the order is at which station means walking the floor and asking around.

  • 02

Stations don't wait for each other

A set goes to assembly before its fabric is cut, or a job missing parts reaches packing; the error shows up at shipping.

  • 03

Bottlenecks and delays spotted too late

Work piling up at a station and orders past their due date only surface when the customer calls.

Modules

What it offers

  • Sets and station routes

Orders are split into sets and lines, and each set passes through stations such as cutting, profile, assembly and packing in sequence.

  • Station queues

Each station only sees jobs whose earlier steps are done; operators start, finish and print labels.

  • Live production dashboard

Total, started, in production, completed, past-due and blocked orders by plant and station.

  • Bottlenecks and watch list

Waiting work, average and longest wait per station, plus past-due, blocked and quality-issue sets.

  • Staff assignment

At stations such as assembly, orders are assigned to teams or staff, and assigned and unassigned work are tracked separately.

  • Labels, quality and shipping

Label printing at the station, quality issue logging and set blocking; finished orders drop into the ready-to-ship list.

How it works

The process step by step

  1. 01

    Order split into sets

Order lines from Mikro are grouped into sets and each set gets its route.

  2. 02

    Processed at stations

The operator starts and finishes the queued job, and the set moves to the next station's queue.

  3. 03

    Packing and shipping

Once all sets are done, the order is packed, labelled and ready to ship.

  4. 04

    Monitoring and analysis

The dashboard shows progress, bottlenecks and late orders live.

Integrations

Works with

  • In the same app as the Nitrogen WEB order, account and report screens
  • Warehouse and shipping movements with Nitrogen PDA

Frequently asked questions

Nitrogen UTS is our standard production product built on Mikro ERP work orders and planning. The routing-based system tracks orders by set and station route, with stations and rules designed around your plant; it can also run alongside UTS.

Yes. Each plant or product group has its own station route, and the dashboard and tracking screen filter by plant.

No, it is rule-driven. For example, only sets whose cutting and profile steps are complete appear in the assembly queue. Rules are defined to match your flow.

A tablet, touch screen or PC and a label printer at each station is enough. It is web-based, so no extra installation is needed.
