The need
When you sell starch, sweeteners or colourants, customers ask about the lot, not just the product. A bag nearing expiry left on the shelf is a loss, and shipping the wrong lot means a problem in the customer's quality control.
The solution
At receipt every item is entered with its lot and expiry date and the label prints at once. When picking, the handheld shows the earliest-expiring lot first and verifies the lot scanned. Lots nearing expiry are tracked in reports.
