The need
In a large logistics operation, documents expire quietly: every certificate needed for vehicles, equipment and staff has its own end date. Kept in spreadsheets and folders, a missing document was usually noticed during an audit or out in the field.
The solution
A certificate tracking application was built on the Nitrogen WEB platform. Documents are stored with the record they belong to, those nearing expiry are listed ahead of time, and managers follow the status through reports.
